Chimera or Pegh'qu is unlikely, because allied T5 Ships are not available. Also the Blog states that the 1000 Day-Ship is in Development. However, getting the free VA Ship Token is calming me down and satisfies my Ship needs.

It would be nice if I could shell out the funds to become a subscriber, instead of playing the free version. The wife will not let me, funny I can spend all the money I want on firearms, but not on STO.

So if I am reading that correctly there is not romulan variant of the Chimera planned? Or is that what it refers to when it mentions the 1000 day ship in development?

There is a Romulan 1000 Day Ship in development, but no indication whether or not it is similar to the Chimera / Pegh'qu.

Just a little over 3 weeks before those of us not playing on Tribble get to get into the Rom game.

Sooner than that - it's closed Beta at the moment. It'll go open test on Tribble before it goes live. So I'd suggest logging in to Tribble when you have a lot of time so that it can patch up correctly. Otherwise you might be bursting to get on to tribble to try it out and then be sat waiting for a loooong time.

I patch all Servers on "Patch Day" and check Tribble for Updates each day before I log in on Holodeck. A real time saver.

I also do it in the server down time - it still patches while they are working so it's really not dead time.
