Is everyone ready for today's release of F2P? Who plans on starting a new character in the tribble server just to check it out?

I plan to go to tribble and test out the duty officer system. I'm really looking forward to that little mini game.

The duty officer system isn't unlocked until Lt. Commander. I really want to test it out soon.

The updates to the tutorial are nice. I just uploaded a video to the STO Academy YouTube channel about it.

Another thing that is different, for those that aren't at Vice Admiral yet, you might want to try to get there. They are getting rid of the ship tokens, and you now have to purchase the ships with Dilithium. The first ship you will be given enough for the ship, but the teir 3 ship is going to be short after you promote up. I only make it to Lt Commander, but I read that the next one you have to grind out some dilithium to purchase it.

Sounds interesting. I'll definitely playing the game to Vice Admiral, but I've been away from home yesterday and today so I haven't been able to play much.

Another little thing, the duty officers aren't received until LC 2, going to mess around with that today a LOT I think.

Yeah I know about that. I think its good that they have it set up like that so new players don't feel overwhelmed with all the features of the game.

As of today you can transfer one and only one character to F2P

That's cool. I just read the Blog about it and am interested in seeing how much Dilithium I would be getting.
