I just purchased the Delta Rising pack, and I'm really loving the Romulan T6 Faeht Intel Warbird. I'm thinking of using it with my next Romulan toon, and I really need a good build for it.
Can anyone help me out here? My toon is Tactical, BTW.
I'm using the iconian set on it still with Cardassian spiral wave disruptor dual heavy cannons. However I haven't been on much to get the set I really want. But that's really worked for me.

I'd really like to stick to plasma-based weapons if possible for RP reasons. I was thinking of getting the three-piece Romulan set from the Romulan Reputation, along with Romulan space weapons from the reputation store and building from there. I think I could probably use crit-increasing Consoles and Doffs to take advantage of the set bonuses from the Romulan Set.
But what about skills and specializations for my captain? What Doffs should I be using?
Make sure to have your tactical skills built right, and just know that if you're going to be chasing dps plasma is going to do it. Also the Faeht is a glass cannon so be sure to have the right set to stay alive. What level are you right now?

As of the writing of this post, I'm level 35. What set should I get to stay alive? Sorry for the noobish question, but I really am a rank amateur when it comes to specific ship sets; I just started playing the game four or five months ago, and I'm still learning the game mechanics.
After some thought, I decided to choose Intelligence and Strategist as my two specializations, but what traits and consoles should I be using? I managed to snag the Inspirational leader and Self-modulating fire ship traits from some infinity lock boxes the other day, should I use those?
By the way, I just noticed the picture of your toon in your signature; how did you get the colors to look so good? I can't even get a deep black like that to show up on MY toons.
I'm going to suggest that you wait until you're max level before you start worrying about all this. In the meantime take a look at the skill planner for ideas.

No I'm talking about the colors; that black is actually black! That color always looks washed out on my uniforms and clothing. How did you get the colors to look so good?
