Capt Ransom Survived
#1
I recently stumbled upon a project from a few years ago called, Star Trek Equinox: The Night of Time.  It's my understanding that a pilot had been shot and they were planning on pitching the idea of a new Star Trek series.

Here's a link to the trailer, which features John Savage reprising his role as Captain Ransom:

Essentially, the premise is that Captain Ransom survived the destruction of the USS Equinox in the Delta Quadrant.  He was somehow beamed off by the Krotownans and held prisoner in the Delta Quadrant.  He manages to escape and in fleeing, ends up traveling through an anomaly and ends up back in the Alpha Quadrant, but during the TOS era.  He's picked up by the USS Equinox, a miranda-class starship.

The unlikely coincidence of being picked up by the USS Equinox seems a little cheesy to me.  But, I do like the idea of him escaping and making his way back to Earth alone.  What do you think?  Too far fetched?

Not Foundry-related, therefore moved to Quark's Bar.

Oops!  I am not sure how that happened.  Thanks for moving the thread.

I have done some investigation like Odo...

I think it got done before Paramount crapped on fan works

Thanks Odo!

I read they shot a bunch of footage but had to shut down after Paramount released their fan footage rules.

I would have really liked to have seen a series with John Savage reprising his role as Ransom. Honestly, I think the Equinox has a much more eventful time in the Delta Quadrant than Voyager.

God that was cheesy... Some of the effects were great, but then some were absolutely terrible. You can also clearly see the difference in acting ability between Savage and some of the other characters!!!

The premise is cool, but being picked up by another U.S.S. Equinox in the TOS era is far too silly for my book.

Agreed. I think the show would have been better having him struggle to find his way home from the Delta Quadrant without any Starfleet tech.

However, if he did make it back, he would have faced a court marshal for genocide.
