I watched Cryptic's weekly live stream last night and while they weren't giving away too much info, I was able to learn a few things.
1. There will be another recruitment event once AoD releases, and they are "definitely maybe" going to have another Temporal Agent event since they did a re-run of Delta recruits before ViL launched.
2. There will be multiple ships released for AoD, but they naturally didn't say which ones. Most speculation in chat circled around whether or not the Crossfield would be moved from lockbox to C-store. No answers from the devs, naturally.
3. Mary Wise, aka Cadet Tilly, will NOT be the only Discovery cast member to provide voiceovers for AoD. And there were hints that her Mirror Universe counterpart, Captain "Killy" might make an appearance as well.
4. It sounded like they'll be adding content as the season of the show progresses, not in one big release all at once. And they're also working along with the Discovery showrunners so they'll have really authentic (and possibly canon!) content.
5. No word on whether or not Kelpian will be added to the replicators. (okay, they didn't mention that, but c'mon that's funny!)
6. AoD characters will start at level 1, not 60 like JH toons.
7. The Discovery haters were in full voice in chat, naturally. While I realize that not everyone likes Discovery, a lot of us do and are pretty excited for this new content, so let's PLEASE keep the negativity and complaints about the show out of this thread. This is about the Age of Discovery content for the game.
