Ron Glass the actor who played Shepard Book in Firefly as well as having a role on Barney Miller passed away today at the age of 71.

I grew up watching him on Barney Miller and came to rediscover him and love his portrayal of Shepard Book, to me possibly the most loved and most intrigueging character on Firefly. He had the warmest, most calming voice, I'm going to miss it.
