Typing "/cmds impulse" in the console, I discovered a couple of commands that looked hopeful:
/Fullimpulseconsole (Alias for GenSendMessage Hud_Space_Throttle_Impulse Fullthrottle)
/Fullimpulsetoggle
I was hoping that by combining the two commands, I could always induce a full impulse stop. The first command would turn full impulse on whether it was on or not, and then the second command would toggle it off:
/Fullimpulseconsole
/Fullimpulsetoggle
Unfortunately, /Fullimpulseconsole does not seem to do anything. I also tried the GenSendMessage it is an alias for, and it does nothing as well.
I get really frustrated when the only commands of an object are toggle types. If I were in command of a ship, I would want to be able to say "Full Impulse", or "Full Stop". I would not want to say "Impulse Toggle". It just seems very unnatural.
Doesn't anyone know a command that either turns FullImpulse ON or OFF without just toggling it?
