"Cosmetic" changes to Fleet Commendations

Okay,

there is one thing with the Commendations, that bothered me for some time. There is nothing wrong with the Commendations we have per se. I know that we have a lot and there is no need for additional ones, but dammit....

It bothers me that there is not a snowball's chance in hell right now to get a Gold Star on the Achievement and Fleet Training Commendation Ribbons. It annoys the hell out of me. Yeah, I know personal problem and all, but I like the Admiralty to consider the following:

1) adding one Achievement Commendation called something like "Expert Assignment Officer Achievement (Click to View)

This Commendation would deal with completing a buckload of DOFF Assignment chains as listed below:
   
The list does not consider Assignment chains, that require certain drops from Lock Boxes or that require access to certain Ships like the Tau Dewa Aid or Tal Shiar Infiltration chains. I figure that it takes a while for people to complete that one.

2) adding one Fleet Training Commendation called something like "Tactical Squad Graduate" (Click to View)

This one would be something for PvP lovers. It would require people to form up in two full Fleet Teams and engage in 5 vs 5 Space Arena PvP Matches on the Maps "Briar Patch", "Cracked Planetoid" and "Solar Wind" for three Maps total. Matches could be allowed to take place in either Starships or Small Crafts.

The reference to Fleet Training would be regarding to the factors of team building, development of tactics, etc.

3) adding another Fleet Training Commendation called something like "War Zone Deployment (Click to View)

A full Fleet team shall form and deploy to the PvEvP Space War Zone accessed through the Ker'rat and N'Vak systems. The Team receives the Commendation by coming under enemy PvP fire, while being able to complete the PvE Objectives.

As stated above, I am aware that we do have more than enough Commendations right now. However, I have a feeling that beside the cosmetic changes to the Ribbons, there will be Fleet members who would actually embrace those Commendations as a challenge and also I am positive on the prospect that this will promote team building and thus socialising among the fleet.

Thanks TP. As you said, we do have more than enough commendations already. As you know, the Admiralty decided not to add any more. Aside from that, I just don't have the time right now to design it and update the website.

Well if you ever need someone who's good at photoshop, all you have to do is ask :  I'm sure one of us could whip some examples up...

Perhaps we could have some stuff that are purely for recognition but don't count in any way towards the established commendations system.

I kinda liked the medals to be honest... I'm guessing they were retired with the war games?

Another thing for cosmetic changes I would say that if we are emulating how military bars sit, then shouldn't they be aligned to the center instead of to the left?

It's a mix between US and german settings. Three Ribbon per row (US), aligned from left to right / top to bottom (german). If I recall correctly, it made it easier for the Boss to code it.

Don't be fooled. The Boss didn't take the easy route per se. My recommendation just coincided with making it easier to code.
