While making my signature, what is correct selection when choosing the right emblem. (Omega, Legion, etc..)?

I've searched how this is to be used "if it even makes a difference" but couldn't find anything.

There is no correct option. You can base it on whichever of our fleets you are a part of, or just pick any of them. Either way it's all part of the STO Academy.
