Commendations Challenge 2016

Hello!
I am hereby giving each and everyone of you a chance to earn the

Vice Admiral's Medal of Excellence.

What do you got to do to earn this prestigeous Fleet commendation? Complete the following tasks in the six months between 01/01/2016, 12:00 UTC (your time) and 06/30/2016, 20:00 UTC (your time).

1. Engage succesfully in Fleet runs on these Ground PvE Maps on advanced difficulty or higher. (Click to View)
2. Engage succesfully in Fleet runs on these Space PvE Maps on advanced difficulty or higher (Click to View)
3. Engage succesfully in Fleet runs in these Adventure / Battle Zone and complete one mission. (Click to View)
4. Contribute ressources worth of 500,000 Fleet credits to our STO Academy fleets (account level). (Click to View)

Once the challenge has begun, you will be able to check your progress on the Fleet Statistics website. When you have completed the tasks within the challenge's duration, you are immediately eligible for the Vice Admiral's Medal of Excellence, which will be awarded the following month.

Now why should you accept the challenge? The answer is easy. Completing these tasks will qualify you for up to four Specialist Commendations, which will help you in earning promotions. Earning that Fleet credits will allow you to buy Fleet stuff from the stores, like all those sweet extra Traits Slots from the Research Labs. But most of all, you will get together with other Fleet members and have fun. You will get the satisfaction of finishing the challenge for yourself and for helping your fellow Fleet mates to reach this goal as well.

I recommend you consult the Fleet Commendation Application Thread for optimal ways to report your progress. You should also check out this recommendation about Privacy settings in order to optimize team building throughout our fleets.

I wish you all good luck in this endeavour.

Live long and prosper, Qapla' and Jolan Tru.

A little heads-up to everyone. I have removed the Ground Map "Nukara Prime: Self-Destructive Tendencies" from the list of Maps required to pass the challenge. I did this after much consideration and the fact that our Elite players barely managed get the Mission done. So, this Map is nothing more than an inconvenient frustration to the majority of the fleet, hence the removal.

However, this will be the only removal. Everything else remains the same. It is achievable, so I wish you good luck.

Sniff, sniff, sniff... just after @aaaict led us to the precipice of defeat only to snatch victory from the clutchy little mandibled exosuits of the tholian plague. We planted our flag, though, and we emerged victorious. Scathed, sonic ear whipped, concussed, broken ribs, fractured extremities - we prevailed through the darkest of moments to see the blinding light of self-destruction glory. We bear the scars and will always look fondly upon them; as they remind us of glorious battle, brothers-in-arms, the sweet taste of hard earned victory - sweat, dirt, tholian blood...

Our battle may not be remembered by any from this time forward, but WE will never forget.

lol thx TP!  (I wouldn't say we were an elite group of players BTW, a number of them we're just starting off on ground- I'd say it is just about doable with a good team frantically pressing the consoles- good fun Smile )

It was awesome fun.  I cannot say how much I appreciate @aaaict and @ayexeyen for taking ground-noobs and walking us through these stf's.  Not the normal mode, mind you.  No, let's rock the advanced and elite for your first time in!  Great directions, great patience, great leader.  Respect.  Live Long and Prosper

Chief of Operations Challenge 2016
Statistical Analysis

Hello everyone. Although I am no longer serving as Chief of Operations, the challenge is still in progress and right now we are one third through of the timeframe. So, I thought it is time to break down some numbers after those first 60 days.

A. Focus
Of the current 668 Fleet members, 455 have decided to not participate at all in the challenge. Those are shocking 2/3 of our fleet or 68,11% to be precise. Of course, we are a casual fleet. So there is no pressure, but still a shocking number.
Of the 213 Fleet members, that more or less do participate in the Challenge, the breakdown is as this:
  • 56 Fleet members have worked on all four tasks, by contributing to the Fleet Holdings, engage in Space and Ground PvE runs as well as explored some of the Adventure / Battle Zones with the fleet.
  • 144 Fleet members decided to just contribute to the Fleet Holdings. That is awesome, as ressources for the Fleet Holdings are always appreciated.
  • 13 Fleet member have not yet contributed to the Fleet Holdings, but decided to help out in Fleet runs. Thank you for that.

B. Completed Tasks
I am happy to report, that some of the efforts made during the challenge have already paid off a bit.
  • 27 Fleet members have already completed the Fleet Holding Contribution Task.
  • 1 Fleet member has already cleared all Ground PvE Maps.
  • 1 Fleet member has already cleared all Space PvE Maps.
  • 4 Fleet members have already cleared all Adventure / Battle Zones

C. Progress
Speaking of the progress, some Fleet members are getting close to completing the challenge and thereby proving, that the challenge can be mastered within the timeframe. As a reminder, the challenge still lasts until June 30th, 2016.
  • 3 Fleet members are in the range 75,00% - 99,99%.
  • 6 Fleet members are in the range 50,00% - 74,99%.
  • 25 Fleet members are in the range 25,00% - 49,99%.
  • 179 Fleet members are in the range 0,0001% - 24,99%.

All in all, it is looking good. Continue the good work and maybe you'll earn the prestigous "Vice Admiral'S Medal of Excellence".

Live Long and Prosper
