Hey everyone, just wanted to post something to let you all know why I haven't been around in case anyone is interested...
Back at the beginning of this past April I decided to go to the emergency room because I lost the ability to walk and wanted to know why.... the last thing I remember after getting to the hospital was transferring myself from the ambulance gurney to the emergency room bed. I was told after I came to a couple weeks later that I had gone into respiratory failure (from double pneumonia) and came very close to dying.... no joke... on top of that I came down with sepsis from the pneumonia (in case anyone wants to know what sepsis is:Sepsis is a potentially life-threatening complication of an infection. Sepsis occurs when chemicals released into the bloodstream to fight the infection trigger inflammatory responses throughout the body. This inflammation can trigger a cascade of changes that can damage multiple organ systems, causing them to fail.) and my body filled up with a great deal of fluid to the point where my mother barely recognized me. Then... as if that wasn't enough, my father passed away in April from complications to pneumonia... (man if I didn't know better I would say that it was a cosmic April fools joke.)
Anyhow I am better now... the only thing now is that I have to use oxygen pretty much all the time now. I plan on getting back into the game once I am in a place of my own and have things set up.
