What's with all the shutdowns...?

I have played lots of online games.. and yeah they have shutdowns once in a while.. but since i've been on STO.. i have seen over 20+ ????

What are they doing that needs to take the entire game offline just to fix.. lol

Its actual patches to the game. They do it about once a week to add new things and fix some bugs. maybe its just bad timing then lol because every time i come online... the servers go offline

They usually go off around 7am PST time on Thursdays and stay off for a couple hours.

If it makes you feel any better think of Eve Online, They are down for 1 hour every single day. Regardless of what is going on they shut down for 1 hour.
