GW Science Build
#1
HI Guys,

Any advice on my Science Build. Draining and GW.

Still building. I'm working on getting the Adapted MACO Impulse Engine.

Drop FBP for Energy Siphon and get another Deflector doff as Tachyon Beam and ES both proc the Deflector doff helping to decrease cool down on those plus your Grav Well. Leech plus ES should basically max your power as well. If you get the AMACO engine it may be worth swapping out the deflector for something with more drain capability like the Jem'Hadar upgraded to XIV UR. Alternatively if you want more exotic damage get the Solanae deflector and upgrade it.

Thanks for the great info. I will make the suggested changes.

Agh, I just deleted my comment.

Short version:
This is a lot like my GW/Exotic Damage/Beam build, the Jodahs, though the Jodahs is less drainy more phaser-y - in the end, your ship may be more effective, which is pretty cool:

First thing, drop that Kobali universal console and replace it with the Assimilated Module. The weapon bonus from the 2-piece with the KCB you've already got on the back of your ship is an awesome damage boost. If you, for whatever reason, decide not to go with the Assimilated Module, you may want to rock one of the Lobi universals (Tachiokinetic or Bioneural Infusion) or the Zero Point romulan rep console.

As Beardy mentioned, you've got a fair amount of reliance on your deflector dish... So, I'd drop the GW1 (the shared CD of 40 seconds is not worth the significant damage dropoff) and move the Tachyon Beam up to that slot. Then, I'd drop another Hazard Emitters into the old TB slot to kind of make up for the loss of the Kobali joint.

Speaking of the deflector dish, that still leaves a lot on there... Energy Siphon (if you take Beardy's advice, which I'd echo, as FBP is weak), Gravity Well, and Tachyon Beam. I might consider putting a Destabilizing Resonant Beam in place of either the Siphon or the Tachyon Beam. It *says* it's on the Deflector Dish system in the tooltip, but it doesn't seem to share a cooldown and is pretty boss, especially if you're well-specced into PGens.

As always, stoked to see how another sci cap'n in a sci ship turns up the heat! Pretty soon, we'll start having some fleet science-only STF runs, amiright?

Thanks Puck,

Great info. Will make some changes.

I'm all for sci-only stf runs. This is my first Sci ship and Captain and I'm really enjoying it.
