Cryptic Layoffs

Heck, the only time I paid money to Cryptic was after they fixed the Mac client after S9 broke it. I wasn't buying a ship or gear or anything - I literally thought of it as a donation in thanks for fixing the game (a little). I don't think I'm alone in having this mentality.

I know your not alone there.  I've spent money on the game over the years when I've been happy with it just to do my part to keep the game going.  Last time I did so was the launch of DR.  The lag issues among many other things though have really cut into the enjoyment of the game and I'm very hesitant to spend money at this point.  If they do indeed get things running smoothly again and I feel like they are doing more work than just cash grabs I'll gladly open up the wallet once again.

They need to hit the breaks on the expansions and worry about the existing problems and stop adding new ones. I know all mmo's have issues but the ones they have been ignoring are big issues. From what I read on the forums since season 10 some people have not even been able to log in, that's a huge problem that pushes people away with a bad taste for the game.

There are indeed some very serious issues at the moment.  I'm hoping that they can get the most serious ones fixed in very short order because we've already lost some great fleetmates over these issues and I'd really hate to see more people leave simply due to the incompetence of the developers.

Hmm this is good news. They are actually delaying an FE in oder to sort it out. Impressive. Hope this will continue to happen in the future. For once- well done Cryptic!

The reaction here as well is very positive I think people would really rather debug the game than a brand new update.

I don't know if CaptSmirk is still with cryptic anymore since last I heard from him he has been in India for the past 2 weeks working on something there.
