I do not know why I have been thinking about this, however the Season 2, episode 4 of Enterprise entitled Dead Stop. The crew are directed to an automated repair facility, has it every been mentioned who created the facility? Just curious I suppose....

I thought it was rather creepy when it started rebuilding itself at the end. I wonder if that thing would happen to still be around all these years later?
