im having trouble with the Pidgin Client and joining a chat room to where i can type out of the Star Trek Online Game. i can see everyone that is in the 3 fleets i just do not know how to open a chat text box so i can type and also read everyone's responses. i have posted a picture of the Join a Chat settings.

still does not work it gives me the name "firetrekkie" in the handle which is my in game @handle and nothing else

The settings in the screenshot are correct so far, except for the handle. It "must" be the handle without the @. If it doesn't work, I suggest contacting PWE support.
