Carrier PVP sounds like a very interesting and fun idea.

Do people actually use any carriers in the interfleet War Games PVP?


I haven't had much time to play lately, and am not sure if I can make it on Thursday, so don't take me into your planning;
However, (as you mentioned) there are not many Fed carrier options, and I'm not sure I want to toss down Zen for a 2 hanger carrier just for this event.

Is there a cheap option for Fed to acquire a two hanger ship?

Some people do. I know of at least one mean JHDC equipped with Elite Jem'Hadar Attack Ships (no, it's not mine). But also Obelisk and Atrox Carriers has been seen.

Unfortunately, there is no easy and cheap way for Feds.

That's good though in a way, as there are plenty of easier and cheaper ways for the feds than there are the others!

Carriers are some banter in PvP. I know one guy in particular with some menacing carrier builds.

I don't have a problem fielding the carriers but I think in the interest of participation you should open it up to all carriers. Asking people to get one if they don't have one already is tough enough; asking them to get a 2-hangar carrier is painful especially for Feds who will basically have to spend valuable currency on it (either FC or Zen). 

Sure, the HEC and other single-hangar carriers will have a speed advantage, but most of them lose out in terms of damage potential compared to the 2-hangar beasts so it will still be a fun matchup.

Chris, you think a HEC would tear up a JHDC with Elite JHAS as Pets? Think again. It would take a good HEC pilot to do so and he would need to know how to use his Carrier Pets.

I really good captain in a HEC can take on an obelisk, but i doubt he would manage a JHDC. the trick is still to stay in the back and canon spread the monster and it's pet!
