Hey I actually got something done last night! Maybe this bloody cold bug will go away finally.
Changed my mind and set up the upper flood light effect. I'd originally planned to skip that detail, but figured out a way to make it work that was relatively painless. ![]() ![]() Still requires a bit of tweaking but will do just fine. I will tell you now, that by the time this one is finished it will have over $500 in the build. That's not counting time "costs". Got a bit more done. Halloween has kept me busy for a few days, but that's wrapped up now. ![]() Starting to seal up the primary hull.

You were not far off. However, it does not adhere to plastic and painted surfaces worth a darn so I'll be doing more traditional gap filling with putty.

Nasty cold bug has finally been beaten (5 weeks, holy crap!) so I'm picking up again.
A sharp eyed facebook user caught a major mistake I thought I had avoided and pointed it out to me the other day. He was right so the hull came apart to fix the issue. And then I discovered it wasn't bound together for squat in the first place. Return to drawing board. In either case the screw-up is fixed and I'm redoing the hull assembly in a different way that is working much better. Built the base while waiting on things to dry... ![]()

I have huge gains in progress and a few challenges to solve yet, but she's starting to look like a starship!
![]() Lower engineering hull with all of the spaghetti sticking out and around. ![]() Full assembly in process. Still some detail and decal work to do. ![]() Upright and on the base. This thing is incredibly heavy and the base requires some reinforcements. I haven't quite worked out the detail on that yet, but it will be far more professional than a dirty knife! ![]() The Enterprise got a recent refit in my build. Her RCS thrusters have upgraded heavily to provide maximum maneuverability for the vessel. This resulted in larger hazard zones than before and reinforced hull structure near the thruster ports.
