Brand New Player-Help
#1
I just started playing STO on the PS4. So far it is pretty fun but just curious if it is worth the time investment.
Also how long does it take to get to end game?
Where is the best place to find people to play missions with?
Any other advice to a new player? I think I understand basic mechanics but really am new to MMORPGs too

well I LOVE all things Star Trek so it has been great so far. I just don't want to get to a point where I need a team and have no one.
I played Destiny and you could jump on the forums and put a team together in minutes.

Unfortunately I don’t have it on the PS4, but it’s only worth it if you personally decide it is. I love it but I need a break every now and again.

Yeah, it should be mentioned that the STO Academy is a PC only fleet. So I'm afraid, that getting advice on the PS4 and Xbox versions may be a bit tricky here.

Have they considered expanding the fleet into these formats?

I think it has been discussed. You'll have to ask the Admiralty for details.

As far as expanding into other consoles the answer is no. However that could change in the future, for now we're a PC only fleet.

This is probably a dumb question (coming from a PC only user) but is there a big difference between the platforms - I assume it all links to the same server?????

Huge difference. No not the same server.

They completely redesigned the UI for it to be compatible on consoles - could you imagine that same UI from PC going across?

Talk about a mind-melt! (See what I did there? Mind-meld?)

That is the biggest difference - it's night and day
