I use the Hail as a primary, and flip to the Avalanche and it's secondary attack every 10 seconds or so to kill a mass, then back to Hail for rapid fire.

It's cool actually, I saw a different pic of it, the warp trails remove to become the sticks, and the top of the saucer lifts off to be a dipping bowl.
