I am between two escort choices one with 4 front and 3 rear hardpoints, and one with 5 front and 3 rear. Everything else is close to being equal.

My question is this: 5 weapons for more attacks or 4 weapons for less power drain?

5 for more attack, using Emergency Power to Weapons helps to maintain power levels
