First of all, I have to congratulate you. Your choice to read this thread implies, that you do have an interest in becoming a Fleet Commodore. This is commendable. Not only is the Fleet rank of Fleet Commodore the highest non-Admiralty rank and thereby quite prestigous, but you will also become eligible for a possible promotion to Vice Admiral. Think about that.

What do I have to do? Well, you need to be active. Very active. Just how active, you ask? Here is the list:
  • You need to join Fleet members in PVE Queues (both on the Ground and in Space)
  • You need to share your thoughts on our Forums and you need to share them often.
  • You need to have at least one character each in one UFP- & one KDF-base STO Academy fleet
  • On those characters, you need to be willing to sacrifice some of your ressources to improve the development of the Fleet Holdings in the respective fleets
Quite a list, eh? True, but what's that saying? "No pain, no gain"? Don't be discouraged now, it is easier than you might think.

What are the criteria for the rank of Fleet Commodore? I'll tell you and step by step, I give you my recommendations on how to achieve them:

Criteria #1: 2 Federation and 2 KDF Fleet Development Commendations (Click to View)
Criteria #2: 2 Forum Commendations (Click to View)
Criteria #3: 2 Historical Figures Commendations (Click to View)
Criteria #4: 4 Specialist Commendations (Click to View)
Criteria #5: 1 Achievement Commendation (Click to View)
Criteria #6: 1 Training Commendation (Click to View)

If you achieve all of the above, then I salute you as you will join the ranks of the Fleet Commodores. One last advice though: When you become a Fleet Commodore, do not demand a Vice Admiral position. By the time, you have become a Fleet Commodore, you will already have gotten the Admiralty's attention. They may contact you, if you presented yourself in the highest degree and if a position is available.

I am so close it is driving me nuts. I am only lacking a few warfare specialist. We try almost every night to get a full team and always fall just short. I am very patient and know it will happen eventually. I am hoping with these new changes more people will be looking to team up as they get closer as well. (fingers crossed)

How about I host some PVE on Saturday 25th? What do you need. I can not promise people will turn up but I will try. I am free in the evening so can run stuff from 8pm - until about 10pm (BST).
Very nice. Thanks, TP, for the breakdowns. Now I have a little side project to work on when I'm in game.

That would be great. I have a list of what I still need. I will get it to you and we will see how it works out. I appreciate it.

I'm down to needing 2 fleet ground missions and 1 fleet space mission to finish, but with this new job my days off are Tues and Wed, which really sucks for being able to participate. Unless it's weekend nights (Canada Mountain Time), I won't be able to join in the queues.  But will keep trying.
