Grrrrr. I am having difficulty with knocking out the Daemosh Destroyer. I was using my Sovereign (standard - non Zen) and was able to handle the battle with my Nimbus call, but only able to get it knocked down to 40-60%. However, I was dying A LOT. I then switched to my Malon Battlecruiser, and was using my scorpions and am dead when the distortion is presented. I've only been able to knock it down to 90% with the Malon. My Malon is using Mk 12 dual turrets in the front (1x common, 1x rare, and 1x very rare) (the ones the battlecruisers can only equip), and Nausicaan torpedo very rare (Mk 10 or 12 (I can't remember)) and a Mk 10 Ha'peng Torpedo (very rare) and Mk 12 dual phaser beams (common) in the rear.
Off-hand I do not remember what consoles I'm using in the Malon Battlecruiser, as I'm not connected at the moment. I don't like the Malon Battlecruiser because it's turning radius is like a semi (which is why I use the scorpions). My Sovereign is my primary ship I prefer to use. I am a f2p player and only have 100 zen, so I can't get any of the high dollar Tier 6.

Any advice?

Tactical. I have attached a screenshot of what I've equipped on my Sovereign (standard), and Malon Battlecruiser.
Alright i'm just going to make a list of my suggestions for each
Build:
1. Whenever possible, you want to keep the same energy type and stick with either beams or cannon/turrets and either mines or torpedoes.  This way you can more effectively boost with your tactical abilities.
2. It's more than reasonable, and most of the time what people do, to have one set of items that you use on every ship.  I would probably end up setting both ships with the best gear you can find between the two ship

Strats:
when the Na'kuhl use their plasma wave, just move out of it

Thanks for the advice, I used it. I ended up beating the mission with time and effort last summer. The battle lasted about an hour, but I eventually beat it with my upgraded weaponry and console synergy. On the replay this year, I tested my new Jem-Hadar Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser armed with 3x Dual heavy Antiproton cannons (mk12) in the front, with the appropriate consoles, and the Tri-lithium set, and the house of Martok set and a beam array in the rear and an extra antiproton turret in the rear. I also used my scorpion fighter device, and my heavy antiproton satellite device. I had my two gunboats on an intercept formation around me, and sent my wingmen on strafing runs against the daemosh destroyer (and its distortion), and utilized the fighter device and turret. I barely received a scratch. My wingman and the turret and the fighter device did the work for me. All I had to do was bring my cruiser about to hit it with my cannons and it was all she wrote, TKO.
