Just saw a Tweet by @STO_DevTracker, that may be interesting those of you with an older computer.

"As of March 1st, 2017, Star Trek Online will no longer be supporting Windows XP and Direct3D 9, or Video Cards with a Direct3D Hardware Feature Level less than 10.0. This decision was made in order to improve game performance and to optimize the player experience."

(Looks like Microsoft strikes again- they REALLY dont want software developers to commodate XP anymore.... I miss Win XP, it allowed ALOT of "control" to remain in the hands of the user)

about time we were DONE with the clustercluck that was DX9. :woot:

as for xp and control issues since, the basic versions since are restrictive, but the pro versions do even more than what xp was capable of, IMO
