Quick question. I noticed in the C-Store in the item description for extra costume/uniform slots it says something to the effect of "tired of always having to run to the tailor to change your costume? Buy extra slots". I can understand having to visit a tailor to modify or create a uniform but is there a way to switch between existing uniforms/outfits without having to visit a tailor? I've been unable to locate any such option on any character screen.
Lomax right click on your character portrait and you can select from any of your uniform slots. For instance I have three, my Uniform, Off Duty, and Fleet Uniform.

What are the rules regarding fleet uniforms (appearance and when they should be worn) for the Star Trek Academy fleet? Are their any rules or guidelines for ship appearance or color?
From what I was told by a fellow friend. If the fleet leader has a purchased costume from the C-Store and sets it as a fleet uniform, all fleet members should be able to where it for free. I'm uncertain how legitimate this is, but I trust the friend ^_^ So if anything, he got trolled. It's just an idea
I'm not objecting to the current one, which I like, actually. I'm just curious if this is true. It'd be pretty cool if it was.

The rules for fleet uniforms are located at

That is untrue. Any uniform that can be unlocked (either through accolades or the C-Store), cannot be set as a fleet uniform. If I try to set a uniform that has an unlocked piece, it'll replace it with a piece that everyone can use.
Now, for example, we are using the Sierra 3 option for our uniform. On the site I have stated that the Sierra 3 Open option can be used. This is a C-Store uniform item. I cannot set it as a fleet uniform in the game, but I've given the fleet the option to use it.

To be honest, it took a little bit of wearing to get used to, but I like it now. I'm also a fan of the Vice Admiral's jacket and the fact that my character looks great in black and dark purple

I'd be interested in seeing this info about the uniforms. since I've been recently included in the fleet, could i be added to the group that can see this page?
